Proceedings of Celebration of Rashtriya Mahila Kisan Diwas by KVK West Siang on 15th October 2018 at Bam village of Basar circle of Leparada District.
Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Krishi Vigyan Kendra West Siang, Basar celebrated Mahila Kisan Diwas on 15th October 2018 at Bam village of Leparada district. A total of 102 lady farmers participated in the programme. The programme was graced by noted Social Worker and President Arunachal Pradesh BJP Kisan Morcha (BJPKM)Shri Dunggoli Libang who shared the problems of farmers, suggested possible solutions and enlightened the farmers through his vast and rich experience. He extended all possible help to the farmers to the best of his capacity and encouraged the farmers for doubling their income by 2022.
The function was also graced by the benign presence of another Social Worker and Mandal President BJKM Shri Monya Kamduk, Aalo East who also shared his experience to encourage the farmers to upleft their socio-economic status. He commended the contribution of women in agriculture and further urged the gathering to contribute towards the nation building efforts of the present government by teaching, inspiring and strengthening moral and social values of our next generation.
Dr. C S Raghav, Head of the KVK delivered the key Note Address and assured the farmers to keep on facilitating all possible help for the area farmers. Dr. K Suraj Singh and Dr Deepa Lal, Subject matter Specialists of the KVK coordinated and arranged the programme in a very systematic and beautiful manner. During the programme 5 Lady progressive farmers were honoured by the Chief Guest Shri Dunggoli Libang by presenting Agricultural kits.
The programme was organized with the help and cooperation of President Kisan Morcha who assured the farmers to keep on extending all his help and cooperation in future. The farmers in turn expressed their gratitude and reciprocated to follow the guidance and advises of the Kisan Morcha and the Krishi Vigyan Kendra.
